Hi,

What would y’all value a used P226 at?

Brand new upon arrival
~2,500 - 3,000 rounds since June 2017
9mm
3x Sig mags
1x 20 round MecGear mag
E2 Grips
Original Sig box

May come with a Safariland level 3 duty holster, basketweave pattern.

Basically my PD is transitioning to Glock 17gen5s (yay!) and are doing a buy back program for our Sigs. Not a huge fan of the 226 (great gun/very reliable/accurate, just prefer Glocks) and am considering buying it for cheap and may or may not sell it later.

If I were to sell, what is a fair asking price for the package (with and without the holster).

Oh... neccessary gun porn. Finish is still at 98% by the way (my EDC has more wear).

Hop onto Gunsbroker- Do an advanced search. Search by Completed auctions to see what they have been selling for in Auctions.

Round count is always subject. I have seen used glocks being sold with a stated round count of 500-600 and the slide face was worn smooth from use... so more like 5,000 rounds fired... I questioned the seller and he smiled and said that maybe the the round count was closer to 10,000....

So good pictures of wear areas will help with your auction should you go that route

Shotgun News used to have trade guns listed. In the mid to late 90's $475 was the dealer price. Great quality, heavy to carry. Mine has probably sat for ten years. Been shooting more .45's or Beretta for Service Pistol.

Is my duty gun, but only for about 1.5 years. Not a huge attachment to it. Never fired in anger/defense.

Looked at Gunbroker. Seems that if I do buy it, it needs to be a keeper as the profit would not be high enough to go through the hassle of a potential sell.

I appreciate the advice!
