I do gunsmithing and hunt with my brother was mainly into Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc for a few years.
So I have had do listen to the price of Copper for a while.
They are the largest producer of Copper.
If you look at the price of their ticker symbol over time: FCX, you will see a roller coaster.
There has not been an ETF for Copper value itself, like GLD for Gold.
GLD has not been a roller coaster, and my brother switched to that this year.
The price of Copper is largely dependent on the expansion of infrastructure in China, which is largely dependent on the US continuing to buy Chinese goods.

Thanks for the detailed info. I was responding to a story I saw on the BBC website. I remember a year or so ago Tom Gresham said on his show that there would be an increase in ammo prices. I went and bought a couple of boxes of Lapua brass. Glad I did. The prices dramatically increased soon after that.
