How well does used optic hold there value/resale price?

I might be selling a scope and want to put it up for a reasonable price.

If it helps it a S&B PMII 3x12 with a P4 fine.

S&B holds value well. Most of the top tier scopes do.
That schmidt is an excellent optic, why do you want to sell it?

Re: Price on used Optic

It more optic than I require at this point. I bought this a while back and it set in my gun safe while I had a rifle built. Now the rifle sit in the safe (Safe Queen). It like a nice sports car that set in a gargae. The range were I am a member was supose to get a 600 yard range, that has been put on hold. I can not see having a expensive scope for 200 yard shots.

I don't buy into the "more than I need right now" thing. If it was more than you could really afford I get it, absolutely. Range has never been a consideration for me when I've bought optics. Looking through an S&B all day at 200 is better than looking through a (brand of POS) all day at 200. If all your gonna do is shoot on a square static range then anything just about will work for you. Most people investing in scopes of that caliber for practical purposes are looking at feature sets, reliability, repeatablity etc, glass may not be a consideration since all high end scopes have very good glass. I don't get into the need thing either. It's still a free country if you want a S&B on a bb gun then get the S&B and who cares what anyone thinks.

Re: Price on used Optic

If you need the cash more than you need the scope, sell it-but be prepared to regret it later.
Would need more info to offer a price though (moa/mil adj, DT, CW or CCW........)

Re: Price on used Optic

I would advise that you do not sell unless you need the money and even then I personally would sell something else. I'd rather run a good optic on a stock rifle than an uber custom super needle threading monster with shit glass on top.
