I read on this forum recently that 2 new models (I think) of CKYE POD are going to be released very soon. One of them has 3 extensions and will be very pricey ($1200, I think I read). I'm not sure what the other model is. I guess it will be something in between the current standard size model and that previously mentioned model with 3 extensions.

I found a decent deal on a CKYE POD for Black Friday and am trying to decide whether or not to buy it now or wait. Does anyone have more on that other new model and how much it will be? If it's around the same price, it might be worth waiting.... However, if it's something like $750-$800, it might not be if I don't need that extra height. So, I'm not sure.

Depends on the options you get.

Dual leg ~ $700-800
Triple leg ~ $900-1000

IMO, you always want/need a standard length bipod for size/weight concerns

What deal did you find? I’m in the market for one also.

I like the ckye pod they are nice but have not compared to a 5h and for only 449 or something close to that , or even the one I think really https://www.eliteiron.com/product/revolution-bipod/ this one .
That frank did the video on that I think it was it looked to have a nice wide stance . Little things bug me about the ckye pod , I think its a lot of me still getting used to it . That or I missed some hidden hex screw that tightens some of the play in it up . Not sure I would pay 1k for it but to each there own . not sure about the extra legs cost but mine only cost 549.00 at mile high unless the price went up https://www.milehighshooting.com/rifle/bipods-monopods-tripods/?sort=alphaasc&page=2
it may be cheaper somewhere else not sure .

They’ve been out, just not from MDT officially. Swannys has had them. Currently out of stock tho. The triple leg is $900 and the double is $700. Great bipods. I’ve been waiting for him to get the triple again.

Interesting. Do you know what the lowest & highest settings are for the double & triple versions?

Man I used the triple and it’s TALL I couldn’t tell you how tall, couple feet tho. The double isn’t much longer than the regular. Maybe 3-5” or so I believe.

Only way to stop the massive price gouging behavior is to stop buying the massively overpriced products
IMO if you have messed with a Ckye, you wouldn’t consider it to be over priced/gouging. The design and craftsmanship of the unit is super solid and one of the most versatile pieces of kit you can put on a rifle.

If you buy an Atlas CAL, throw on an Arca clamp, spiked feet, and leg extensions, you’re not too far off on price of a Ckye.

I do agree that there are some products that are over priced but the quality and engineering involved in the Ckye, completely justified it for me. Since seeing and handling mine, several buddies have picked one up as well

14"-37" with legs straight down (not 45 degrees front or back) - PRS cyke pod next to it for reference.

Does anyone know if we can buy the leg extensions later on and use them if we get a normal sized (Standard or PRS w/ 1 extension) CKYE Pod right now?
I think MDT is working on that. I want to turn an older single leg into a triple. I have a double but want a triple for field matches and hunting. Full disclosure I paid full price for both of mine. They are worth it

I picked up the standard version from Swanny back in October. It’s plenty y’all for the fields matches I’ve shot. Defiantly worth the money and it overly priced for the functions you get.
