Prime ammo projectile

Am sure someone has brought this up before but does anyone know or have an idea of what projectile Prime uses on their 6.5 CM 130 OTM round. Just picked up 200 rounds and was curious since there seems to be no info about it out there, at least none that I can find.

How old is the ammo? It could be a Norma 130g Golden Target also.

I would lean towards it being the Norma.
I don't think the SMK was released until last year, but my memory is fucked so it don't hold it against me if I'm wrong. ?

It could most probably be the GT, but don't worry about that, it's a hell of a projektile.
We are using them in bulk, on this side of the pond and they are allways delivering.

The 130 SMK is very good too and the ballistics are almost the same, as the GT.
I guess, that Norma modelled the GT after the SMK.

If the case says PRIME it 130 Norma Golden Target. If the case says PETERSON is 130 Sierra Match King.

Looks like they are loading 140 Berger's in their 6.5 creedmoor ammo..... But they are pushing it at 2600 fps out of a 26" barrel? Is that a typo?

Their website, they have the 130s as usual but now have the Berger 140s seperately.

I shot my new prime 130s at 1000 this weekend and they performed horribly, Hornady 140 a gunner actually outperformed it by a long shot. I thought something was wrong with my rifle and I just tried to figure it out with the cheap ammo and I started hitting steel no problem. very disappointing curious to see how yours does

Im having the same experience. Just today I shot at 1k and 1100 and the performance wasn’t there. Same targets that with HAG I hit all day.

Wow I guess I’m not the only one, I bought into the hype and purchased 400 rounds I just got on their website and left a honest review hopefully they post it. Mine is horribly inconsistent of course mine is the new smk 130

My rifle didn’t like the old GT bullet at all in my 260. Worst ammo I’ve shot. 2.5” groups at 100 yards. Same rifle put Berger 136gr scenar ammo in a 3/4” group. My scenar hand loads are a consistent 3/8” with many lower if I’m willing to concentrate that hard.

I had a rifle that didn't like their 260 Ammo either.

But I've run the old 6.5 Creed ammo with the 130 Golden Target in 3 or 4 rifles and it all shot pretty well.

That's disappointing to hear about the SMK ammo.

not about prime but i haven't shot custom loaded bergers (copper creek and few others) that shot well at all
i usually buy all three for a trial berger, scenar, smk


accuracy
1st scenar
2nd smk
distant 3rd berger

that is for 308, 260, and 300 wm

factory and custom rifles

i think bergers are best left to hand loaders in my experience

Yea was definitely not impressed and disappointed really. I guess my gun just doesn’t like the stuff wont group under 1-1.5 MOA.
