Hunting & Fishing Prime Ammo

Anyone use the Prime Ammo 6.5, 130 Creedmoor or .260 ammo for hunting? What kind of results did you have....bullet expansion, pass through and stopping ability?

I looked into this myself. From what I found, people say the Norma golden target bullet has too thick/strong of a jacket to expand reliability. Most have had unsatisfactory results. But I have not tested it myself.

I'm interested in this as well. I contemplated using the prime 260. I settled on the Hornady superformance. I'm hoping the come out with some form of the ELD-X in 260

A couple months ago there was a discussion about hunting with Prime target/match ammunition.
From memory results were mixed. I personally have no experience with Prime ammunition.
I do have experience with offerings from Copper Creek. I would first look at the 130HVLD's for almost any game and the 140ELD-M if hunting thin skinned game.

Shot placement is all u need worry about

My son shot a 150-160" whitetail here in Kansas last December with factory Prime. Had good expansion and full penetration at 200 yards.
