Primer Mishap? What to do?

I had just reloaded some rounds to try out for my AR-15.

25.0gr. H-335 (Max. load)
CCI BR4 Primer
Remington Brass
Barnes 62gr. Tac-X BT

Note: I have only been reloading for a couple months)

The problem is I followed the Speer book loading data and when I was done I realized the load data for the H-335 was to be used with a Magnum primer and I had put in a CCI BR4 primer.
I had grabbed the wrong box of primed brass I had recently primed. Now I have 40 magnum primed .223 brass casings and have nothing to load in them that uses a magnum primer. I used the last of the Barnes on my screw up loading. Should I pull all the bullets (40) and reload them with a magnum primer or will I be O.K. to shoot how I loaded it without a Magnum Primer?
WTF should I do?

Re: Primer Mishap? What to do?

You'll be fine without the magnum primer, I think the BR primers just aren't as hot as magnums. Did you work up to this load or did you load max right from the get go? Have you fired this load before?

Re: Primer Mishap? What to do?

I agree. I use magnum primers all the time with my match .308 loads. I seriously doubt that you would have any problems with .223 unless you loaded them at the very high end of the load scale. If that is the case, you may consider pulling the projectiles and reloading them with powder at the middle or lower end of the scale.
