In this day we have to make compromises and choices. I am starting to reload for my 223 ar. My local dealer had a supply of CCI 450 magnum primers, I would probably prefer the 400's or BR primers, but had no choice.
What considerations or concerns should I have with the Magnum primers
Bullet's will be 62g bt and 77g SMK, powder will be Varget. Looking for accuracy

The CCI 41, 450& BR4 have the thicker .025" primer cup. They are better suited for AR gas gun use than the 400 that has a .020" primer cup.

You lucked out getting the 450's. They are coveted for use in the AR-15.

450s are best, not second best. I can't make a 16-inch 1:7 twist shoot 62s. 77s are the hot tip.

I am limited to 300 primers
It is a WHO SPR barrel with a 1:8 twist, so the 62 should be OK. Again they were available so that is what I got. Later found the 77 SMk's and I got some of them. My preference will be the 77's pending availability

you could try and reload your already shot primers farting around with it enough you should be able to get the high es results found in online video's to a better working results before the price of such items go through the roof or worse and you can no longer find them . I was able to find 35k worth of strip caps for just about 50.00 even if it takes 2 per primer that 17,500 reloaded primers . I ain't buying that many new primers for 50.00 and at best like I said you only need 1/2 of one that would give 70k worth of re loadable primers again for 50.00 that would be a steal of a deal . but which ever way you go to get what you need good luck in finding your primers .

and many others even using strike all matches at least its worth a try .

Dennis the CCI 450’s are good if your loading up to 556 pressure, they work very well the ball powders, W748, H335, BL-C(2) and such with the 77 Gr SMK .

Well, not quite.. Here's what CCI told me:
"Jeffrey,
The CCI 41s have a Magnum priming mix and an anvil angle change that will reduce the possibility of slam fires in AR style rifles.

I'm using 41s in ALL my rifle reloading, which use only small primers.
