Saw that Tula made a primer listed as a Large Rifle 7.62 primer. Has anyone used these, and how have they performed compared to say Federal 210 or the CCI standard large rifle primers?
Was looking to use these with a 175gr SMK / 2000-MR combination.
Another question I had was when do you decide to use magnum primers for a non-magnum round? I understand the amount of powder in the case has some bearing on this, but what is the deciding factor? Alliant suggests that for 2000-MR with a 175gr SMK I should be at 47.7 grains of powder. I normally use a Federal 210 primer when I used Varget in the past; what determines the jump to a magnum primer?
