Is it safe to use a de-primed primer again? They are new but the brass was pulled so I need to resize. I cant take the de-capping pin out of the Lee die i'm using.

Re: Primer Question.

That sucks. If you back out the primer slowly, you can re-use them. You can get any other FL sizer with the decapping pin taken out and not remove the primer and still size while keeping the primer seated.

Re: Primer Question.

I would not muck with it just to save 3.5 cents a primer.

But that's me,

Bob

Re: Primer Question.

I have used a Lee COLLET die to neck size primed-brass (LC brass with crimped-in primers for AR target shooting). I modified the neck mandrel by grinding off the decapping pin--you can get spares from Lee.

Gotta go with Bob on this one...3.5 cents, I know the economy is bad but there's too much that can go wrong here to save a few pennies
