Primer opinions??? I recently had some Win primer issues. Stunned because I've used them for many years with zero problems. Loading 243Win and primers are flattening like pressure issue. However, it's the same recipes I've been using for years. Full grain + under Hodgdon's max. H4350 & H4831. Cases are all the same, trim length, etc. I never load hot as it's very unnecessary. Looks like I may be switching. What the heck is going on with Win primers??? Anybody??

What are the specific issues that you have been having?

What are you loading for? Rifle? pistol? shotgun?

Re: Primers...CCI, Fed, Win, Rem????

Are you using a different lot of powder? It is possible that this lot is at the top of their scale and it is making your pressures go up.

Winchester is not the softest cup you could be using but never the less maybe you need to switch to some remintons or CCI

do not let the price fool you, the russian primers are quite good - wolf/ tula are the same

Re: Primers...CCI, Fed, Win, Rem????

I have also had good luck using Russian ( Wolf Primers ). I also get good results with CCI-BR-2.

Re: Primers...CCI, Fed, Win, Rem????

I have had Win primers back out pretty easy and look like pressure problems .They seem to fit looser than other primers ,confirmed by another discussion about loose primer pockets that some one posted sizes of the primers and Win seem to be smaller . Arnie

Arnie....was there a real pressure issue or was the primer material a little softer and it simply looked like a pressure issue??? was there a true pressure issue? I've had other primer brands get loose too. Thx
