I'd recommend against it. While I have had good success using magnums primers in cartridges in the .308 class (<span style="font-style: italic">with powder charges adjusted down accordingly</span>), the 6.8 has such small capacity that I'd be afraid of some weird pressure spikes even after dropping the powder charge. Stick with standard primers in that cartridge.

What primers are you currently using and what ones do you want to use instead? Keep in mind a magnum from one company might be as hot as a regular from another, and for some manufacturers the regular and magnum primers have the same amount of flash compound on them.

I am using the CCI large rifle. I just ran out. I did a little research and found that it is about 12% more. I just went out and bought a couple of cases of large rifle. I am using the Magnum primer for my 338 Lapua and 325 WSM.
