i wanted to start a "want to buy" post in the px section but i don't have a new post button. does the 100 post rule also apply to WTB posts? don't want to break any rules but i sure need a few parts.

It is my understanding that the 100-posts Rule applies to <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="text-decoration: underline">ALL</span></span> sub-forums within the PX, so you are 66 posts short at the moment.
Best advice I can give you is just keep your eyes focused carefully on the PX for the items you are looking for and try to snag them if/when they come up.
