I can't seem to loosen the lock ring that locks my reticle focus in place. It came from the factory already tight as hell and I don't want to apply too much pressure to turn the lock ring. Anybody else with this experience with NF scopes? Any suggestions?? WD40???

Yep put some M-A-N on it. It's a NF if you break it by using hand force alone you probably deserve a Medal of Honor.

I had to use a cloth and pliers to break loose the battery compartment, try it.
The only thing fragile on a NXS is the illumination intensity screw.
Ok I finally felt brave enough to use Gorilla Strength on the lock ring/reticle focus and it eventually gave way. Thanks gais. 
Yep that was a pain too. I was still able to get it by hand but I know what you're talking about.

Same story when I tried to adjust the focus on my Nightforce. You need to gorilla it to get it loose. Seems a bit overdone at the factory to me.
Go to Harbor Freight, and buy a rubber strap wrench.
