I got a 18" 308W AR barrel with rifle gas. This barrel was bought new and installed in a rifle. I shot 20 rounds to break it in (five single shots and three 5-shot groups) then put away. The barrel was off when I converted the rifle to 6.5 CM.
There were some minor scratches on its shiny surface that I tried to show in the photos.
