Does anyone have any experience with the proof ss prefits spun up by proof? Altus has a 6dasher for $479 that is a proof spun prefit. Its for my impact. At almost half the price of having my smith do it Im considering one and buying an action wrench.

Mine wasn't chambered by Proof, but I do have a Proof SS prefit 6-Dasher and it's a hammer. I was told that even the Proof sponsored shooters don't shoot Proof barrels and I shouldn't have bought it. If that's the case, then they don't know what they're missing. It shoots just as good as the Bartlein's I've shot in the past. YMMV.

I put one on a couple weeks ago. Only put 100 through it so far so just getting started. Did OCW and my expectations may have been low on my first dasher cause they all look good. SD really settled in about 2920, hoping to find a lower node. Breaking in with random lot 105s them switching to 109s for hopefully the rest of the barrel.

I shot my 6.5 creed AIAX Proof ss prefit for this first time this weekend. After zeroing and only 20 rounds on the barrel it was printing .3 moa at 100 with Hornady American Gunner. Took it straight out to 600y steel after that. No complaints from me.

I recently picked up one of the 6 Creedmoor prefits for an impact. I’m just shooting factory ammo and it’s doing really well. Super pleased for the money.

Just spun one on yesterday onto an Impact. Threading was looser in the action than what I’ve seen from a custom gunsmith.

Put 20 rounds through it today and it shot well. Don’t have enough to make judgment.

I have 420 rounds on my 6CM Bighorn TL3 Proof pre fit. Shot one match and am shooting another this weekend. With Nosler 115's its a hammer and load development was quick and easy. Did take a little longer to get through the barrel speeding up than my bartleins but that's life. No other complaints.

How many rounds did it take? A friends proof kept getting faster past 400 rounds. I’ll be taking mine to a 2 day match and it’ll have about 200 on it by then. Little worried about it speeding up mid match.

It sped up somewhere between 180-250. I believe though it was closer to the 180-200 mark. I just didn't chronograph until 250 rounds to confirm but it started shooting high at 1,000 yards in that 180-200 mark. I don't know if its just because they run a tighter bore/groove diameter or what. Not a huge deal, just have to put a few more rounds down range to make sure its good to go. Honestly I shot ammo at the last match that had sped up 30 fps from the time I loaded the ammo until the day before the match. Since it was already loaded I was out of luck and out of my node too. Went from an ES of 21 to an ES of 41. Funny thing was it still shot well at 100 yard and had no problem making a first round impact at 1100 yards at the match so as long as you run at a lower node in anticipation of it speeding up you should be fine.
