Ptg bolt on remington 700

If you are going to have your action trued, and new barrel, that is the time to replace the bolt if you want to go the PTG route. Nice piece of equipment and it can't hurt.
Yeah it's gonna be a full rebuild on a 700 action. I probably should have just bought a custom action but, it's too late now. I figured I would ask before I get it.

With all your having done it will be a plus. Ditch the factory bolt with the brazed on handle, and get a one piece ptg You won't regret it.

It's nice to select your size firing pin and extractor you want and they are significantly smoother than a factory Remington

It will be .308 because it's my first real build. Once my kids are a little older and I have a little more time I will look at other calibers.

This. Plus you can sell your factory bolt for almost what the PTG costs. It's a no brainer.
