necked up lapua 6.5-284 brass should be thinner than winchester 284 brass? i have not personally tried it but i heard the opposite. the winchester brass has been working fine for me so i have had no reason to try anything else. </div></div>
No idea i dont think i have any win brass to check it with. But if they both start at lets say .015 thick then the 6.5 brass would thin out about .0005 to .001 per side. Ending up at .014-.0145 per side. </div></div>
i was under the impression that the lapua brass had thicker necks but i don't have any lapua brass to measure. my winchester brass measures about .015" (as best as i can measure it with a dial caliper). if the lapua brass is the same, then i agree, it would be thinner when opened up to 7mm.
