Pulled bullet accuracy

When I switched barrels on my AX, I still had about 100 rounds loaded I hadn’t shot. I pulled the bullets and the powder, and loaded them in the new brass I got to go with the new barrel. With no load dev at all, I just used them in a mild load I had used a lot with my old barrel. They shot .4 to .6 moa, with SD around 10-15. As long as you are careful and properly use the collet, they should not give you any problems or odd behavior. For reference, I was using Berger 130 VLDs, H4350, and a RCBS collet puller.

No on factory pull downs. Pretty much same situation as sjc929, with pretty much same components. Only thing I have seen on bullets is a light ring from the collet. I guess bottom line is to load em up and try em. If nothing else they could be “practice” rounds.

I have shot nothing but pull down for 5 years w/o issue. If I miss, I missed, not because of the bullet. If people would shoot as much as they read, they could separate internet B/S from fact. If the bullet is heavily marked it will deviate somewhat, but trust me out of round get re-rounded once 50K + of pressure hits it in the ass.

So long as they dont come out looking like these...LOL

Years ago, I pulled some good bullets (Hornady 68s) with a collet. The symmetrical nature of the pull left them in very good condition for the match shooting I was doing at the time. I was only able to test out to 400.
