Pumpkin Turner

I'm about to buy the Pumkin turner and was wondering if I can use the Sinclair expander mandrel and their die instead of the Nielson die/mandrel. Sinclair sells theirs for about $25 for the die and $9 for the expander mandrel while the Nielson is $50 and $25 respectively.

Use the mandrel made by the company making the pilots on the turning tool.
