PVA Universal Small Base Bushing Die

Not this specific model... I have one (a 'ring' die) from a guy who used to make them for BR shooters, in very limited quantities... and has since kind of gone radio silent.

They are one of those things that you can get by with for a very long time without needing, or by just using a cheap small base die for the caliber, if one is available. But there are times that a ring die, or something like this USB die, is just the right tool for the job. For me, that was usually when I wanted to take perfectly good brass from one barrel (usually shot out) and re-task it to a new barrel, and the sized brass just wouldn't. quite. fit. Usually because the case web just ahead of the extractor groove has fire-formed to the old, slightly larger, chamber, and due to the radius at the mouth of the F/L sizing die, it can't quite touch that narrow band.

Lube the heck out of it, and run it thru the ring die and voila, problem solved (still need to run it back thru the F/L sizer to make sure the shoulder is where you want it, FWIW).
