Hi to all from a newbe. I have a Rem 700 R5 Milspec with a NightForce 3.5-15x50 NXS, NF one-piece base and NF rings. With my AICS collapsible stock, I'd like to have my scope on some quick disconnect rings that don't change the zero of the system. Question is, is this even a good idea? Are their rings that one would recommend? Did searches both here and elsewhere, but couldn't find the info I was looking for. Maybe someone could fill be in on this subject.

If you want QD rings, I don't know of a better option than LaRue LT-123s or LT-719s, depending on your height requirement. From centerline, the 123s are 1.28" high and the 719s are 0.875" high. Here is my AR with the 123s:
