Rifle Scopes Quality Spotting Scope for $500?

Can it be had? Should I consider buying used?

I can't afford "bullet proof" but would like a good spotter to use at the range, at a match for training etc.

I've read good things about the Celestron Regal F-ED line of scopes but I really don't know one from another.

Mine works well ... yah its not Swaro glass or anything but in your price range and has a mildot reticle for ranging.

Get a Kowa TSN-601 - $400 http://www.amazon.com/Kowa-TSN-601-Standard-Optics-Spotting/dp/B0002JSATM

$200 more for the eye piece and you will be a happy man.
