Ordered some new gongs yesterday from Quality Targets. I need to get back to what I enjoy, and that is smacking lead off metal at long range. I didn't think the price & shipping was bad at all.

I ordered the round 1/4" gongs that can be hung by chain; 4" - 5" - (2) 6" - 7" & 8"...

I'm thinking of banking them in three's at 200 and 250 yards;

200 yards - 6" - 5" - 4"
250 yards - 8" - 7" - 6"

I forgot to order a 10" for our 300 yard SH match, so next order I'll take care of that.

Re: Quality Targets

Thanks TP, it's good to be back. Been kind of busy of late and haven't done much shooting at all, so it's time to get with it again. Thought I'd try the SH 250 yard gong match in March. Haven't shot that as yet.

By the way, got an email from Quality Targets, and they shipped today. Fast service.

Kevin, thanks for the tip on the group buy. I saw my local welder today and he said he had a 10" gong for me, so with that I should be good. I do Appreciate the tip.

Re: Quality Targets

Kind of think my gongs will show up today. Unfortunately (and just my luck) it's raining with the forecast calling for rain until 6:00 pm tonight. Well, if they do show up I'll at least be able to install the "hanging" chains.

My "long range" .22's are setup with a 50 yard zero, but as soon as possible I believe I will change this to a 100 yards zero, as I have plenty of rifles for the 25 to 50 yard work.

May as well make my "come ups" from 100 yards to 200, and 250 yards as simple as possible.
