Rifle Scopes Queastion re Leupold VX-3 6.5-20x40mm

Greetings all,

it is my understanding that only the EFR model of the Leupold VX-3 6.5-20x40mm series focuses as close as 10 m. Can someone confirm? If so, how close do the other models from this series focus? I am looking to buy one for air rifle - silhouettes and FT, and would hate to get a wrong model.

I bought the 6.5-20 model for my special edition 10/22 (overkill I know). I recommend the increased power of the 6.5-20 mainly for spotting your impacts. 3-9 is a bit low in magnification.

thank you for the response. Perhaps I posed the question incorrectly. There are several 6.5-20 models. Is it only the EFR that focuses close (10 yards)?

Affirmative for my own VX-3 6.5-20 efr. It will focus down to 10m. It is the only model I've owned so I can't speak to the 3-9. My personal opinion is that it is great for paper punching but not very good for a trainer. The target turrets are very tight.
