My buddy is loading some subsonic lehighs for his blackout and loaded them too long. Is it ok to push them down slightly even though they have been taper crimped?

First off, How much too long?
If he crimped in the groove on the lehighs, then he will probably only be able to push them as far as the top of the groove.
If he tries to push them past the top then he runs the danger of collapsing the shoulder or bulging the neck and sticking the case in the die.
One option if he has a bunch of these to do is get a collet bullet puller and pull them enough to stretch the crimp and then reseat.
