I'm about ready to place an order for an MCS for a 6mm Creedmoor build that I have in progress. I would like to ask for some recommendations for the number and location of flush cups as I have never used them on a stock before.

I know I need at least one on the fore end for my Harris bipod. Where else and why, esp for use of a sling.

Thanks for guiding me.

If you are gonna use a harris why not have them put in a sling swivel stud? Flush cups--on my rifles more is better, what you can do with them is only limited by your imagination.

Quick clarification.... flush cup is not for a Harris bipod, that's called a swivel stud. Flush cups are for slings.

Most commonly used for slings seems to be left side front and rear for a right handed shooter. That's all I've ever used, but as diverdon says more is better if you don't mind paying for them.

Thanks for the replies. That's the kind of first hand knowledge that will help me make this a better build. The little things can make a difference.

I use a flush cup front and back on the left side (for my right-handed rifles) for carry and have one on the front right side for when I am actually using the sling for shooting in position. I get a bit better wrap around the top of my hand with the sling over there versus on the left or on the bottom.
