Hi guys. This is my first post here. If this is not in the correct area please move it for me.
I have two rifles. One is a stock Remington 700 in .30-'06, the other is a Remington 700 in .308 with a 18 inch match grade SS 5 land barrel and a trigger job.
I'm nobody's idea of a competent rifle shot, so I chose to top them with Shepherd scopes, a P1 for the .30'06 and a P2 for the .308.
Ammo used is 150gr Hornady Light Magnum for both.
I have the .308 dialed in for 600, but when I go back to 200 with it I am now way too high. This should not be the case with a Shepherd.
Here is the question, could it be the rails I have used? I have 22MOA rails installed on both rifles. Should I remove them and put on flat rails so that the scopes can get properly dialed in?
Thanks in advance.
