I bought a used TRG and apparently they have the Terje Spacers installed. This might be silly, but what exactly are they and how do they differ from regular spacers?

Re: Question about Terje Spacers

The spacers are for you're cheekpiece?
Only ones i know he is making at least.
will eliminate the chance of movement in you're cheekrest, vs not having one there, it will rely on the adjustments on the rifle from the factory, and might work itself loose over time.

The product is made of quality materials, precision machined and made in Norway.

Re: Question about Terje Spacers

if it has multiple spacers it is to get your eye in direct alinement with your optic,
by removing or adding them, if it is just one then the previous owner had it cut to a specific size for his set up.
the regular ones or 'factory' ones are only available in a couple thickness.
i have one on my 42 and it is a well made piece and just as reliable as factory spacers or more so .
the only way you will know if its the right thickness for you is to mount up the scope and see how the cheek weld feels .
and they are less money then the factory spacers .
