I am would like to know if there is a reputable smith out there who can thread my barrel for a suppressor. I have an AI AX308 and using a 30ba brake with a 338ba can. I have already had the barrel cut down but the previous smith botched the job and doing a breach check the holes did not align so I have never been able to fire my suppressor. I did take it back to the smith and he just managed to cut the barrel down more by retrying and failing again. I ended up getting my money back but instead of a 21" barrel, I guess I am running about 19 to 19.5 inches. I am getting the action wrench and a barrel removal kit from Dennis in VA so I will be just sending the barrel out. I have talked to GAP and they seem pretty backed up. Are there any other recommended smiths out there to do this. I will probably get another longer barrel in the future but I just want to get this thing going. Thanks in advance for your replies.
