Rifle Scopes question answered thanks JasonK

i have a 97 vintage Savage 10 short action .308. the rifle has always shot well. i changed out the scope for the falcon 5-25x50. and added the egw. 1 piece 20moa bases. and burris xtr medium rings. when you look at the rifle, you can see the scope doesnt align with the barrel. it has a cant to the right if you are behind it. i cleaned all surfaces, and they are free from paint and any thing else. the mount really cant go one anyway but straight. any ideas? clearly I am screwing something up.

LOL, I'm just glad all the time I spend on the hide is appreciated by someone....my wife isn't nearly as happy about it.
