Question: can a 10 twist 243 stabilize an 85gr?

I have a 10 twist 243 and was wondering if that twist was fast enough to stabilize an 85gr TSX??? Anyone tried?

Don't know until you try it. My 1:9 twist stabilizes the 105 scenars without any problem.

It should,my 16" 1:10 twist stabilizes 100gr HDY roundnoses,these have a relatively long bearing surface

I shoot the 85TSX and 87vmax in my 10 twist. Shoots very well.

yes i shot 85s out of my old 243 bug holed them it was a 1-10 douglas barrel

I think you would be fine. I use 107SMK's in 1 in 9 3/8
