What factory rounds have you had luck with? Only rounds I have tried so far have been 168gr Federal gold medal with good results.

I mainly reload my own rounds using Lapua brass and either AMax's or SMK's. If I'm in a pinch, I use Black Hills with the 168 gr. A-max's

Is the 308 the same length and weight as the 300wm & 338lm? I have the AR50 and that bitch is heavy

IIRC, My AR30 comes in at just over 13lbs. Its heavy for most, but I manage to lug it around all day with no issues.
