Gunsmithing Question on Mcmillan stock/badger m5 inletting

hey guys, i've had a HTG stock sitting in the corner for a few years now. It is inlet for williams bottom metal. I want to run the badger detach mag system on it.... can this williams inlet be modified by a gun smith to run the M5 system or do i need to forget about using this stock? i plan on sending it out in the next month or so if it usable to get everything put together.
