Re: Question on Savage actions

All long actions are 5.062".
"Staggerfeed" short actions are 4.27" and have magazines attached to the action. "Centerfeed" short actions are 4.41" and have magazines affixed inside the stock.
Single-shot and Target actions I'm not certain.

Two-digit Savages (10, 11, 12, 14, 16) are short action, three-digit Savages (110, 111, 112, 114, 116) are long action.
A couple decades ago, Savage only made the long 110 action and put traditional short-action chamberings (223, 308, etc) in them. These actions have slightly smaller mag cutouts than a 'regular' long action (270, 30-06).
You can run a 308-based case in a regular long action; you can run a 223 in a long action if you have the appropriate bolt head and either use a single-shot follower or run a CDI DBM.
Stevens 200s are either long or short, depending on the caliber they came as (bolt spacing will again be 4.27 or 4.41, depending on when they were made).

Stevens 200 is the same footprint as any "regular" Savage; Axis/Edge is a bastard that is totally different from a Model 10/110.

Not sure what you are asking...but a Google search "Snipershide Savage Actions" or similar should get you what you're looking for.
