I see that Atlas makes a picatinny rail BT15 and BT17 that mounts under the stock for the clamp on or QD picatinny rail to bipod adapters.

Who else makes these other then Atlas, and any suggestions or experiance with the different types out there.

My application is for a McMillian A5 with two forward studs.

Any feedback would greatly be appreciated.

Thread I did on installing a 3" Seekins SRS (specifically made for McMillan stocks) on my Crusader. Per Glen's post, Seekins will be releasing a QD attachment in the future for anyone who wants a flush cup like the Accu-Shot. Mine is holding firm as hell even ghetto rigged. It's direct bolt on if you have two forward studs -- let me know if you want pics of my roommate's HTG stock that used to have 2 forward studs but now wearing a 3" Seekins SRS.

The Atlas will bolt on the same but may provide more flexibility because of the built in QD cup which allows use of a QD sling swivel or even a QD sling stud. I've got one on a Manners MCS-T & can also post pics.

Re: Question on under rail bipod mount?

Alpine,

Both the B&T rails are good and I have used both. The 17 has a flat bottom and the 15 is slightly rounded on the bottom. The 17 is also 4" in length and I just don't see any reason to have more than the 4". Depending on stud spacing you may not have to drill any more wholes. the B&T has a slot cut which allows a little flexibility in bolt spacing. FYI, I have a brand new 17 that B&T shipped to me by accident. I still paid for it, but I did not want to pay to ship it back. Not looking to sell it, but I would sell it to you for 15.00 shipped which would save you 5.00 in shipping.

Thanks everyone for the info. For some reason, I thought Badger also made such an item, but I couldn't find anything from them when I looked.

BC - PM on the way to you.
