Questions about my new tumbling setup

I got a 9lb thumlers and 5 lbs of pins. I ran 20 30-338 win mag and 15 300 wby cases this afternoon for about 2 1/2 hours. Primer pockets still needed some work.

I put all 5 lbs of media in the machine with maybe 1 lb of water.

Am I using too much media.

Use a detergent.

I run Dawn dish soap with Lemi-shine.

Brass comes out better than new.

Sometimes the primer pockets don't get absolutely spotless. But if you haven't been using a soap, give it a try. You don't need a lot of it. I use about a half cup of wisk.

I used a spoon full of dawn and a small amount of lemon shine.

I tumble about 6hrs and most brass is perfect. I put enough water in to cover everything.

Dish soap and lemishine.

3lb media, 100 45acp's in a very small homemade tumbler.
