I've been checking info. on this model and getting different results. So I still have some questions.

    Is the action stainless steel?
Is the trigger 40-x, X-mark or were both used?
Are both the .223 and .308 barrels 5r?
Who manufactures the stock and do they use a bedding block?

If you're using one of the XCRs, are you pleased with the performance? Do you think they are worth the extra money.

Stainless, 40X, neither are 5r, Bell and Carson with aluminium bedding block. I have a compact 223 and a long range 308 and they both shoot great. Worth the money? I've seen sps tacticals shoot just as well for half the price.

Correct except for I pretty sure the Compact comes with a HS stock. The Long Range version comes with a B&C. For the price I'd rather go with a 5R.

I have some range time with both the XCR and SPS Tactical models in .308, both are great rifles. However, the price jump is not justified because the SPS Tactical is just as accurate if not more so.

The action and barrel are stainless with black finish. The stock is HS Precision. Finally, the barrel is not 5-R.
