Rifle Scopes quick nf scope question

Re: quick nf scope question

The parallax adjustment on the NXS series is on the left side, opposite the windage turret. The parallax adjustment on the benchrest series is on the bell. The illumination adjustment on the nxs series is changed by removing the cap for the parallax adjustment, whereas the adjustment on the benchrest models is on the eyepiece. Lastly, the focus on the nxs models is a locking system on the far end of the eyepiece, and the benchrest models have a quick adjust on the close end of the eyepiece.

That's as much as I know, and I'm sure there are a few other things.

Re: quick nf scope question

The biggest difference that matters to most of us. Is the amount come ups. benchrest has like 50-65 moa total come ups, the NXS series for the 3.5-15 has 110 moa come up. and the 5.5-22 has a 100. You need that for shooting smaller calibers at extreme distances.

Re: quick nf scope question

BR models have turrets with covers, while the turrets on the NXS models are exposed. Also the finish on the BR model is a brighter blue while the NXS is more matte.

Re: quick nf scope question

The NXS has more eye relief. NXS = 3.8" BR = 2.9"
The NXS is said to be more durable. Also the NXS has zero-stop and I dont believe the BR models do. What are you going to be using it for? caliber? distance? as the BR models only come in 8-32x56 or 12-42x56. Also the illumination intensity is easier to change on the BR models, both models are adjustable but the NXS requires you to remove turret cap and battery. But for me them deciding factor was the eye relief, it made the choice easy. And by the way I bought the NXS 12-42x56.

Re: quick nf scope question

NXS has the zero stop OPTION. not available on the bench rest. zero stop is pretty cool, but at a couple hundred bux extra, i think a lot of people arent opting for it.

Ah, didnt know. Ok so im curious how does one tell if ones NXS has the zero stop option? I thought all the newer {ie 09-present} had it standard, and that just goes to show how much I know. Thanks
