There is a fellow shooter at the range I go to who has done multiple deployments to AFG. He told me that he worked closely with the Afghan army interpreters embedded with their unit on patrols. And on several occasions when they were not on campaign, just sitting around and shootin' the breeze with the Afghans, the [Afghan officers] told him that the officers and soldiers would routinely take in young pre-pubescent boys into their quarters for play time. As long as their wives did not find out. Apparently they have a "strict" set of guidelines. Women are for procreation, boys for fun. And he said that the way the Afghan officers described this shit, it was with absolutely no shame...As if it was your ordinary walk in the park or watching sports.
