I see Rainier has these on sale and I'm wondering if anyone has tried one? I have a build just in need of a barrel. I have seen good results with their .223 barrels but their 1-7.5 twist scares me for the Valkyrie. Berger's twist rate calculator has it only marginally stable for even the 80s.

Rainier claims that works but I don't know what altitude they're at. I'm at sea level.

They are about a hundred feet above sea level.
I’m in there a lot looking at their barrels and ask all the time why 1.75 twist?
I love Rainier’s stuff, but that twist is wrong for 224 Valk

yes rainier said their longer (ie higher velocity) barrels work just fine with 7.5 twists. i got their 24" ultramatch for my valk build and it is easily sub moa (with hornady 88 elds factory loads) and when i took it out first time got first shot hits out to 800, the furthest i shot. they have something like a month guarantee so if you don't like it, return it.

Funny Ive been shooting one of the 22" Rainier Ultramatch Mod2 224V for a while now and its shoots lights out. 88 ELD-M's shoot awesome out of it and the 80 ELD-M are shooting over 3000 with H4895 in tiny little groups....

That says 1:7 twist, OP asked about 1:7.5. Are the barrels 1:7 or 1:7.5 or both?
