I see Rainier Arms now has Cold Hammer Forged barrels. I'm building a 16" gun and was going to get the Rainier Ultramatch barrel since I have one already and like it. Just wondered about the CHF barrels. I know Daniel Defense brags them up a lot. What's the difference? Pro, Cons? It has a chrome lining is that good?

Cold hammer forging is just a manufacturing process. The TL;DR version is that a blob of metal goes in one end of a very expensive machine and it is pounded into a barrel that pops out the other end of the very expensive machine.
Those rainier barrels look good to me if I were building a blaster/carbine class type of rifle I would use one.
