I'm in the process of making a couple of range cards. I already have a box of 3x5 plastic laminating sleeves. One side is textured for writing on with a sharpie.
Here is my design. Any comments on other info that should be included. I always find things I should have added once I really use them.
I put a Ranging chart vs reticule size on one side with the balistics card on the other. Waterproof too.

I would use sizes that are common i/e 18" for deer, 14" for head to shoulders, 30 inches for coyote length, or Elk shoulder to brisket, tire rim 16"

Try to use ranges that are further away than your MPBR (max point blank range), sighted at 100Y, you will hit most big game or a steel gong up to around 250 yards (either high or low)

Also most mildot systems have the dot at .25, the line at .75, or a hash at .50, again narrow down to what you will realistically be measuring.

Lastly, if you are using word or excel, fill in the background of the columns with a light off color so it is easier to separate the columns, Khaki, light green and alternate.
