Range in Wester Pa

A few weeks ago I posted that there was a new range under construction in Pennsylvania. It is very near Koppel, Pa. The zoning etc is not complete yet so I was asked not to release the name of the range. Keep on the lookout though. A friend of mine was invited to shoot there and was able to shoot out to 700 plus on metal targets. I will share more when I have the information.

I grew up in western PA but never heard of Koppel.
How far is it from the northern tip of the WV panhandle? My sister lives near there and I will be visiting her in about a month.

Koppel is up in Beaver Falls area.

I will keep my ears open to see when my friend feels that he can release the name of the place. Zoning, even in a rural area, can be troubling at times.

Hmmm, I was born in Beaver Falls - way back in 1947. Grew up near a little town by the name of Hookstown.

I used to be a member of Sportsmen Association of Greensburg. They have a 500 yard rifle range. They were trying to get some rifle matches going there when I moved east.

I just Google Map'd Koppel and it is about 25 mins from my home (Harmony, PA). Looks like when I get to go home from college to my firearms, I will have a new place to shoot! I am interested in any news as well!
