Range Report from the New Guy

Went out to the range today, zeroed the new scope at 100 yard, then went to the 200 yard line. All the following are from 200 yards, didn't get a chance to take it out 300 because of a match going on. Used Federal 168gr BTHP match kings. I like the way it shoots with the shorter barrel, and I am sure with practice and hand loads I will be able to get the groups tighter.

Remington 5r SS Milspec (Cut to 20" and thrreaded)
Leupold Mark IV Base and Rings
Nikon Monarch X 4-16 x 50

Nothing wrong with those groups.looks like your getting half around MOA.

Had about the same results if not a bit worse myself with my 5R and 168gr FGMM. Started handloading and the groups started shrinking up considerably. Good luck.
