Took my H&K MR 762 out today after changing the scope from an Leupold Mk 6 1-6x20 to a Vortex Viper PST FFP 4-16X50. All 5 shot groups were @ 100 yards. The brass was LC with 38 grains of 4895 behind 168 grain SMK's which is the load I use in my 308 TRG 22 and AIAW folder. The middle target was my zeroing target. The first group is on the right. I put the first 4 shots into 0.585 moa and dropped the last shot to open the group up to 0.953 moa. The third and last group on the right went into 0.563 moa. The long mushy trigger doesn't help getting consistent results. There is almost no difference between the take up and the let off so I really can't tell yet when the gun will fire. I only have about 75 rounds thru it now maybe i'll get used to the lousy trigger if not I see a Geiselle SSA-E in the future if they make one for the MR 762. One would think on a gun this expensive H&K would put in a decent trigger. Except for the trigger the MR 762 shows a lot of promise but still have some scope tweeting to do. Recoil seems softer than my other 308 gassers.
Happy New Year to All.
