I have ranged with a NF scope. i now have a USO and I am looking for information on rangeing with a ffp scope. Did a search here with little luck.

MOA with Nightforce is true MOA.
MOA with a USO scope could be true MOA or IPHY (Inch Per Hundred Yards).
FFP means you can range with the reticle at any magnification.

First thing you need to do is test it at a known yardage to make sure you know what your working with. Ie is the reticle subtending correctly? Are the knobs/erector correct? Can you dial or hold the same POI with either the knobs or reticle? Once you have proven the scopes ability to preform, the rest is on your shoulders.
A FFP reticle will range at any power, if the shooter is up to the task.
Remember colors subtend different to different people. Flat colors are a good choice for testing your ability from the gate. Once you nail that down, get into bright colors, different lighting an angles.
