Some folks in WY showed up a few weeks ago with a fun project. They take a V-8 Raptor and send it to Shelby America in Vegas to spiff it up. When it comes back, they remove the cab/bed and replace it with a 1965 crew cab body.
I was asked to make some trinkets for it. This evolved a bit from the original conversation. Thankfully, the owner gave me a long leash on this one. I always have to be mindful of scale when engraving with a CNC mill. One can model the Sisteen Chapel onto a postage stamp with a computer, but trying to make that actually work is another story. It quickly became apparent that the artwork had to be changed for this to work. My other alternative was to throw it on the laser, but that had its own set of challenges, and the owner wanted this to have a machined feel/look to it.
