Gunsmithing Raw AR-10 upper?

So I'm in the process of building an AR-10, pretty much from scratch (80% lower) and I've been looking, without much success for someone that offers an Armalite pattern upper that's in the raw. My main reason for wanting this is so I can anno both upper and lower at the same time and get a good color match, and not have to worry about stripping the finish off an upper.

Any suggestions? I'd like and A4 flat top upper, don't really need a forward assist, and I'm pretty split on a shell deflector, doesn't matter much either way to me.

Oven cleaner with Sodium Hydroxide strips the hard coat off them. Then you can re-annodize them together.

I have one, with a charging handle that can be stripped off and cleaned up for you. It's a no FA flat top upper, AR10 configuration. PM me if you're interested.

Have you considered gunkote,cerakote,molyresin or similar coating as opposed to stripping and re anodizing?
