I have been using the MCS case gauges to set my dies up. But I can never get ahold of them to get one for my .243, will the RCBS one do the same? By the looks of it, it will I just didn't want to waste my money on it if it didn't.

Re: RCBS Case Gauge

Its from Master Class Sports. Its a head space and case length gauge. It's a two piece unit, throw the case in screw it together and get your measurement. I can take a pic of one when I get home.

Re: RCBS Case Gauge

The RCBS case Micrometer is a sholder position measurement device, and an ogive position measurement device.

{And comes with a useless plastic bullet and plastic case body that gets thrown away.}

I have lots of RCBS gear but skipped on it for the headspace stuff. </div></div>

Why?

Re: RCBS Case Gauge

The hornady kit cost me $37, comes with a comparitor body and 5 inserts to use one multiple different types of cases. The comparitor is also a useful bit as it can fit other hornady tools such as bullet comparitors to measure at the ogive, so its like killing two birds with one stone.

Last I checked an RCBS precision mic sells for about $54, and it only fits one type of case so you need to buy one for each different case you intend to use it for.

Im sure the RCBS works good to, but again, I feel the hornady product has more uses, cheaper and much faster to use.

Got it, thanks.
